Fr Scotus Fernandez SJ aged 77 with 57 fruitful years in the Society of Jesus went to his eternal abode today at 7.12pm (10 December 2024) in Satribari Christian Hospital, Guwahati.

Started in 1878, the Karnataka Jesuit Province has a rich legacy of its history which is documented in various files and books. This blog gives you a bird's eye view of the Archives of the Province to meet your curiosity and do further investigations. With a history of more than 142 years, Karnataka Jesuit Province Archives has a good collection of documents. It contains all the books written by the Jesuits of Karnataka Province since 1878 including manuscripts. The collection consists of literary works to publications in the field of science. We also a catalogue of all those things that might interest you to do your research. Currently, there are 16 Jesuit Communities, 11 Units, 56 formal educational institutions (Primary 15, High Schools 13, PUC 13, Colleges 11, Tecnical Schools - ITI, 4), 3 retreat Houses, 1 Spirituality Centre, 7 Social Action Centres, 6 Parishes, 2 Youth centres and many hostels
